This archive contains sample STRAUS models and a WORD6.0 file describing the document. If the example you are looking for is not here, please let us know and we will do our best to include one for you.
NOTE: These are DOS programs best run from the DOS prompt.
These files have a WORD6.0 document describing the file included in them. If you do not have Word6.0, you can download a copy of the Microsoft Word Viewer.
Modelling Potential Flow in STRAUS | Contact of a Train Wheel on a Rail |
Ground Water Seepage | Interference Fit |
The STRAUS Heat Solver may be used to model the flow of fluids under potential flow assumptions.
flow.exe [402 KB] This is a self extracting zip file and includes the program and a WORD6 Document.
This demonstrates the use of the STRAUS gap elements for modelling variable contact situations.
rail.exe [29.4 KB] This is a self extracting zip file and includes the program and a WORD6 Document.
Ground water seepage may be simulated using the STRAUS Heat Solver. Both steady state and transient conditions may be modelled.
seepage.exe [47.5 KB] This is a self extracting zip file and includes the program and a WORD6 Document.
The modelling of an interference fit or two shafts is demonstrated. Two methods are included - one using constraint equations, the other using thermal expansion.
shrink.exe [38.0 KB] This is a self extracting zip file and includes the program and a WORD6 Document.
